Amersham Vale

The site is located just north of New Cross Station and west of Deptford High Street, on the former Deptford Green School site. Deptford Green School has been rebuilt and reopened in 2012 on a site further west on Edward Street. The vacant site was identified by London Borough of Lewisham for a new park and new homes.

On the Amersham Vale site the team aim to deliver approximately 120 new residential units, Pollard Thomas Edwards architects have worked with Lewisham to develop designs for new housing for the site and are working closely with Family Mosaic and Mulalley/Sherrygreen Homes to develop the design toward a planning application in Autumn 2015. The design is a combination of houses, maisonettes and flats designed to create new street frontages along both Edward Street and Amersham Vale. Two blocks of flats will face the new park, offering a fantastic outlook for new residents.

The team are working closely with park designer and award winning landscape architect BDP to ensure that the new park will provide something that’s different from the surrounding local green open spaces, a place that is unique to Lewisham and that compliments the new, high quality housing that is being provided on the site.
